Homemade Bounty Bars

 Bounty bar is a delicious dessert which is prepare using dessicated coconut and coated with melted milk chocolate. Here I have prepared this using dark chocolate.

Bounty is available in market. But homemade is always good. So sharing this recipe with you all.

Homemade Bounty Bars

Yield: 10 - 12 bars

Ingredients

  • Dessicated Coconut - 1 cup
  • Condensed milk - 1/4 cup
  • Dark chocolate (roughly chopped) - 1 cup

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, add dessicated coconut and condensed milk. Mix well until the mixture is well combined and when you shape it it should retain the shape.
  2. Now line a tray or plate using butter paper. 
  3. Take a small amount of mixture and shape like a bar (refer video)
  4. Arrange these shaped coconut bars on the tray and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, melt the dark chocolate using microwave or double-boiler method.
  6. Once melted chocolate is ready, take out the prepared coconut bars from the fridge.
  7. Now take the bars one by one and using 2 forks coat it evenly. 
  8. Once coated, place them on the line tray.
  9. Once every bar is coated with chocolate, refridgerate for 30-60 minutes.
  10. Once ready, wrap it in a chocolate wrapper and gift it to your loved ones.

Notes:

Make sure there is no moisture in the bowl while melting the chocolate. Or else chocolate mixture will get seized.


If you feel the melted chocolate is getting harder, melt it again for 15 secs in microwave
