 Green peas skin soup, is a unique soup recipe prepared using the skin of green pea pods. It tastes absolutely delicious and has many health benefits. This soup is bit sweet and will be loved by kids. Elders can add Pepper according to their taste. After trying this recipe you will never throw the green pea skin. So Do give it a try this winter.  In this recipe, I have cooked the green pea skin and fresh Green peas with onion and milk. And seasoned with just Salt and crushed Pepper. Chettambade | Dal vada

Chettambade or Dal vada is a delicious hi-tea snack made with coarsely ground chana dal and urad dal with few spices and condiments added to it. Chette in Kannada means flat. These are flattened dal vadas. So this name. This is a famous Mangalorean delicacy where you find this in every restaurants and even small tea stall. This can be enjoyed with evening tea with of without chutney. Here is my version of the perfect chettambades, which is crispy outside and soft inside. You will definitely love it. Colostrum Milk Pudding | Kharvas | Posu | Ginnu

Colostrum Milk Pudding, also known as kharvas or ginnu is specially made from the milk of cow or buffalo. This milk is produced in them as soon as they give birth to the calf. This colostrum milk is very nutritious and good for health with many benefits.  Here is the simple, yet nutritious recipe. This tastes similar to caramel custard pudding. I prepared using 3rd day milk (its very thick), some raw cow milk and jaggery. Take colostrum milk and raw milk in a large bowl. Add jaggery and stir until dissolved. Once dissolved, strain the mixture to remove impurities. Grease a mould in which you want to steam the pudding. Garduddhe Khadi (bottle-gourd barfi)

Garduddhe Khadi / Bottle-gourd Barfi, a sweet prepared using bottle-gourd or lauki. Normally we prepare kashi halwa using lauki. This is a sweet which requires lots of patience. Please follow this recipe for perfect barfi.  Recipe video :  Recipe card : Print With Image Without Image Garduddhe Khadi /Bottle-gourd Barfi Yield: 15-20 Barfis Author: Namitha Shenoy Prep time: 10 Min Cook time: 1 Hour Total time: 1 H & 10 M A sweet prepared using bottle-gourd, sugar, nuts and ghee. Ingredients Bottle-gourd /Lauki (grated) - 2½ cups Sugar - 1½ cup Ghee - 3 tbsp  Raisins - 1 tbsp  Cashewnuts(chopped) - 1 tbsp  Cardamom powder - 1 tsp  Instructions Wash, peel and remove the soft seeds part of the bottle-gourd/Lauki. Grate using a fine grater. Squeeze out the juice using a clean cloth and keep aside. (Don't discard the juice) Measure the squeezed bottle-gourd. (Mine it was around 2½ cups) Take around 1½ cup of sugar. Keep aside. Now heat a iron kadai. (You can use non-stick as well) A

Homemade Bounty Bars

 Bounty bar is a delicious dessert which is prepare using dessicated coconut and coated with melted milk chocolate. Here I have prepared this using dark chocolate. Bounty is available in market. But homemade is always good. So sharing this recipe with you all. Recipe video: Recipe card: Print Homemade Bounty Bars Yield: 10 - 12 bars Author: Namitha Shenoy Prep time: 5 Min inactive time: 1 H & 15 M Total time: 1 H & 20 M a chocolaty dessert where the dessicated coconut and condensed milk bars are coated with melted dark chocolate Ingredients Dessicated Coconut - 1 cup Condensed milk - 1/4 cup Dark chocolate (roughly chopped) - 1 cup Instructions In a large bowl, add dessicated coconut and condensed milk. Mix well until the mixture is well combined and when you shape it it should retain the shape. Now line a tray or plate using butter paper.  Take a small amount of mixture and shape like a bar (refer video) Arrange these shaped coconut bars on the tray and refrigerate for 15 min
