a yummy snack or starter, where babycorns are marinated with spicy masala and then coated in rawa and deep fried till crisp.

Ingredients:

  • Babycorn - 10 nos
  • Small Rawa - ½ cup
  • Oil for frying
For marination :
  • Red Chilli Powder - 3 Tbsp ( I used half Kashmiri chilli powder and half Tikhalal)
  • Corn Flour - 2 Tbsp
  • Rice Flour - 1 Tbsp
  • Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Soya Sauce - 1 tsp
  • Chat Masala - ½ tsp
  • Jeera Powder - 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala - 1 tsp
  • Sugar a pinch
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Wash babycorn, and drain it. Put it over a clean kitchen towel to dry, no water content should be there.
  2. Prepare marination by mixing the ingredients under marination with little water. Marinade but be thick paste..
  3. Apply the marinade to washed babycorn and rest it at least for 30 mins.
  4. Heat oil in a Kadai. In a plate, spread rawa. Roll the babycorns in rawa and keep it aside..
  5. Once the oil is heated, put the babycorns and fry until crisp and golden brown.
  6. Take it in a tissue paper to remove excess oil..
  7. Serve hot with Schezwan Sauce or any dip of your choice.. :)
